Take a look at this micro cottage: it's only 650 square feet

This micro home in Connecticut designed by Crisp Architects is 650 square feet inside with 350 square feet of porch. It has just enough space to be cozy and comfortable, while also being energy efficient and easy to take care of. The home includes one bedroom, one bathroom, a living room, and kitchen.
Tall ceilings, crisp white walls, and an abundance of natural light make the house feel much bigger than it is. Architect James Crisp writes on his blog, "We have a lot of fun designing these micro homes, and we get plenty of feedback about how much fun they are to live in."
The added living space that the porch provides is a special bonus for a small home such as this. The owners of the home can still host family and visitors even with their limited square footage thanks to the wide porch.
The living area boasts soaring ceilings and comfortable furnishings. A Persian rug helps define the sitting area.
The kitchen is bright and welcoming with a large island that doubles as a dining space. Plenty of windows and white cabinetry help the space feel airy and open.
Although stainless steel is usually the finish of choice when picking kitchen appliances, white appliances can still be a stylish alternative; and they are much more affordable. When the cabinetry is white, white appliances blend right in for a seamless look.
Mill work detailing can take a space to the next level. In this kitchen the crown molding on top of the cabinets and the framework around the window really add to the space.
The sky blue bedroom features vaulted ceilings and beautiful architetural details like the triangle shaped window. Warm wood floors throughout the home add a cozy element.
The bedroom boasts plenty of much needed storage with this wall of built-in shelves. The exposed blue wall behind the shelves is a lovely detail.
The bathroom feels luxurious with a bright window, custom tile work, and a walk-in shower.
A pedestal sink is a great option when space is limited in the bathroom. The bead board wainscoting adds another beautiful detail to the room.
