A tiny house that is cozy and bright

It all started when friends Trent, Robbie and Daniel met at The Ohio State University. They discovered that they had one thing in common: They all knew that they wanted to live the tiny house lifestyle.
Back then, information on how to live tiny was pretty limited. To fill the need, the three friends decided to create their own tiny house construction company. Thus, Modern Tiny Living was born. The team eventually expanded to include several experts in the field. Now they’re also working with Amish craftsmen in Ohio.

The company's website showcases several of the tiny houses they have built. A prime example of the craftsmanship that can be seen in Modern Tiny Living homes is the Cocoa. The 20-foot trailer measures 160 square feet for the main floor and the loft measures 70 square feet.
Having a safe and durable exterior is vital for any house, and this tiny trailer house is no exception. The 3-inch sprayed foam for the walls, ceilings and floors provides essential insulation. The interior walls are made from PVC, which is lightweight and water-resistant. Wood elements throughout the house add a wonderful visual element. Ply Gem windows not only enhance the tiny home but also make the spaces brighter. The metal roof comes with a 40-year warranty.
A made-to-fit bench with gray cushions occupies most of the space in the living area. At night, pull it out to convert to a sleeping area for one person. The windows both above and on the side of the bench bring in natural light and allow guests to gaze at the outside view. Some fresh green branches in a tall pitcher in the corner of an open shelf add a touch of whimsy and nature indoors.
The kitchen comes with a two-burner propane cooktop, ideal for making home-cooked meals. It also has a microwave as well as a 9.9 cubic feet refrigerator. The stainless steel sink together with the pull-down matte black faucet allows for easy cleanup. Enjoy a meal at the drop-down dining table that sits on the other side of the kitchen.
These wooden stairs provide access to the loft. The open sides of the first four steps can double as a display area or storage. A simple but stylish black, thin circular handrail attached to the wall serves both a decorative and functional purpose.
The large mattress that sits right on top of the floor fills up almost the entire loft, with just enough leftover space on one side for low wooden cabinets to hold extra pillows and blankets or clothes. Put books and other personal items in the open modular unit beside the cabinet. The low ceiling brings a feeling of coziness to the space. The hardwood design flooring continues the rustic vibe of the house.

A tiny space does not always have to equate to a cramped space. By carefully planning the design of your house, it can not only look but also feel spacious.
