Can you believe this tiny bohemian dream house was once a garage? Available for vacation rental through Airbnb, it's located in Northeast Portland. The house sits in the charming backyard of the main house where there is also a vegetable garden and chicken coop.
The interior design was done by Emily Katz who loves "collaborating with people to make their spaces more magical feeling, more intentional, useful, and beautiful." A lot of white and natural materials were used to decorate the space. The result is a bright and cozy space with touches of vintage flair.

The tiny house consists of a studio layout with bedroom and kitchen areas. Natural wood accents throughout the decor really warm up the all white space.
Soaring vaulted ceilings with exposed beams and bright windows make the tiny house feel roomy and welcoming. Two bar stools, instead of a dining table, are big space savers for the eating area.
The kitchen is small with an efficient layout. Even without the square footage it is a dreamy kitchen with wood shelving and plenty of natural light.
Open shelving keeps the kitchen light and airy. Plant life mixed with attractive dishes make for a fresh and beautiful display.
Emily used a beautiful rug in place of a headboard in the bedroom space. She says, "I love re-purposing rugs in this way. They aren’t only for the floor! Imagine the possibilities!"

The bathroom features floor to ceiling hexagon tile. The macrame hanging was created by the Emily Katz, she says, "Macrame fits into so many spaces. Adding plants to a bathroom is one of my favorite tricks."
