In 2019, Maryland couple Jamie and Jerry Rea decided to sell their brick-and-mortar home and downsize to a 250-square-foot Airstream. Now, they travel the country along with their dog Bear, enjoying life wherever they decide to park.
The couple worked with Colonial Airstream to find a model that needed little renovation. Since, they've added small customizations and minimal decor touches to make it their very own. Now, the couple is preparing to become a family of three as they await the birth of their latest traveler.

At the front of the Airstream, a roomy sofa wears simple white covering to complement minimal drapes.
Jamie decorates the space with understated seasonal decor so as not to overwhelm the small square footage. The best part about this space is its large, open windows to take in the ever-changing view.
A built-in table and bench doubles as a dining and working area across from the kitchen. A flat-screen TV hangs above the seating so the couple can enjoy viewing from the table, front seating area, or kitchen.
The kitchen is small but mighty, complete with an oven, stovetop, and sink. Two small windows let in light and views above the sink. Cabinetry matches the espresso walls for a seamless look. Above the stove, the Maryland cutting board (which they received as a wedding gift) is a little piece of the couple's former home in Baltimore.
The bathroom and shower area flank the hallway leading to the bedroom. There, overhead storage sits atop more windows. A skylight above lets the couple fall asleep under the stars and wake to the sun.
The Airstream is soon to be home to a family of three! As they await their new arrival, Jerry built a bassinet stand in the nursery corner next to the bed. A simple mobile hangs above a Design Dua bassinet, and a Brightside Boutique print completes the vignette.

The bathroom is tiny but functional with a working sink and plenty of wall outlets. Jamie's favorite part of smaller living is how easy it is to clean!
