Check out how this couple lives in a 100-square-foot bus

Alyssa and Dan are a free-wheeling couple who live full-time in their converted Skoolie, aptly named Lucky. The 22-foot Ford bus is designed for mobile, off-the-grid living that affords the duo the opportunity to see the country in a sustainable, thoughtful way.
Sponsored by 84 Lumber and Renogy Solar, the couple's Lucky bus maximizes every inch of space. Alyssa and Dan document how they make it work in just 100 square feet on Instagram and Youtube.

Alyssa and Dan swapped out the side door for a mobile home exterior door. It gives the bus a true feel of home, plus it's much more energy-efficient and has a handy keyless entry. Inside, a small "foyer" has a cubby for muddy shoes.
The couple installed water-resistant bamboo floors throughout. Pantry storage for food and dry goods sits near the entry. A poplar accent wall feels warm and cozy without taking away from the light and views outside.
In the living room, the sofa features lots of sneaky storage for laptops and cords. (The couple works remotely to make a living on the road.) A footrest folds out to become a seated work station. Alyssa and Dan pull up a small folding camp table along the couch for meals instead of using a permanent dinette.
Across the way, the kitchen has an Avanti 5.5-cubic-foot chest fridge and freezer for storing food items. A butcher-block countertop holds an undermount sink with a cut-out cutting board to increase prep space and conceal dirty dishes when not in use. For preparing meals, the kitchen is equipped with a toaster oven, microwave and electric stovetop stashed below.
Behind the kitchen are two doors. On the right, a wet bath features a fully working shower and Nature's Head Composting Toilet. Inside, corrugated tin siding provides a stylish and efficient look. The left door leads to the couple's closet, complete with hanging space, upper storage and six built-in drawers. The closet also conceals the 60-amp Commander solar battery that powers the home.
In the bedroom, a custom headboard by 84 Lumber features the Lucky Bus logo to conceal plenty of storage. A mini split unit offers both heat and air conditioning. The bedroom also includes a television on a swivel stand. To the right of the bed is more storage and Alyssa's vanity, where she does her hair and makeup for the day.

The emergency exit door in the bedroom swings open to let in light and views. The TV can also swing out so the couple can have friends over to watch movies or football from outside.
