This dreamy contemporary container home is tucked within enchanting woodlands

Tucked only a half hour from Quebec, the dreamy Repère Boréal glamping oasis offers cozy cottages and micro-chalets carved out of the Charlevoix mountains. The oasis sits close to walking paths, ski resorts, beaches and casinos.
That said, visitors to the Shiship tiny home will feel completely off the grid. Made from a recycled sea container, this remote cottage has all the comforts of home. Complete with a composting toilet and situated in enchanted woodlands, Shiship lets visitors disconnect with the outside world and connect with nature.

Inside, vertical shiplap siding features natural and whitewashed finishes for a clean slate. A picture window faces the Charlevoix region beyond to flood the space with light and views. Minimal barrel shades are included, for those who don't want to wake up to the sun. By maximizing every inch, this small footprint offers all of the necessities.
The kitchen features utensils, cookware and appliances needed to craft a gourmet meal (or heat up a frozen pizza). In sleek stainless steel, the cooktop, toaster over and refrigerator make cooking a breeze. Stainless and glass shelving holds cookware and glasses in an understated aesthetic. Above the cooktop, a low profile range hood clears food smells and smoke.
A queen bed comfortably sleeps two, with crisp linens provided. Above, a built-in headboard features electrical outlets and switches for visitors to charge their devices. A Canadian moose poses with towels for a playful touch.
A spacious table for four (additional folding chairs are stashed neatly when not in use) provides a cozy place to eat while looking at the incredible view. An exposed bulb industrial-style pendant light anchors the space. Behind the dining area, a large sofa includes a pull-out bed for two additional guests.
Along with the composting toilet, guests can access communal showers and flush toilets in Repère Boréal's central building, just a minute's walk away. Additionally, a relaxing spa and sauna area is open year-round, complete with hot baths, a barrel sauna and a cold (three-season) shower.

Outside, an outdoor fireplace is the perfect spot to enjoy the quiet. A roomy picnic table can accommodate a large group next to the fire pit. This contemporary box is tucked within remote acreage to marry modern conveniences with age-old nature.
