This 24-foot tiny house features lots of unique storage, like a custom gecko cage

Rocky Mountain Tiny Houses is a Colorado-based construction firm specializing in minimal living. Rocky Mountain believes the tiny house movement is rooted in simplifying one's life while owning a home outright, and the company operates with the mission to help customers achieve those goals.
The Ad Astra tiny house (meaning "to the stars" in Latin) was built for a Kansas couple bound for Portland, Oregon. The design is situated on a dual-axel trailer crafted in Denver. A shed roof creates ample interior space and a bold sapphire blue accentuates the front door.

The home features a large wrap-around deck that folds up for travel. In the back, a roomy storage closet sits poised to accommodate the couple's outdoor gear.
Inside, engineered bamboo flooring features a hand-scraped finish. Pine beams along the ceilings and window trim show off their rich espresso stain to complement the floors. The sliding window above the sink doubles as a serving area for entertaining on the porch.
Simple white cabinets adorn the kitchen, which features a U-shaped design. Roomy storage space and clever lazy Susans maximize under-cabinet space.
The hand-troweled method to create the concrete countertops brings out the material's sheen and character. The large undermount sink accompanies a single-handed faucet.
A custom pantry unit divides the kitchen from the adjacent dining area while adding more storage space.
The dining area features two storage cubes that serve double duty as seating along the table, which has fold-up leafs on either side. At 48 inches long, the table can comfortable seat a small crowd.
For a 24-foot house, the spacious bathroom is quite a luxury. A glass tile strip accents the custom vanity and frameless mirror medicine cabinet. The tub and shower surround features a white subway tile with dark gray grout.
Leading up to the loft, the stairs feature some unique characteristics. Because the home was crafted for a pet-loving family, the stairs incorporate a built-in glass gecko cage. Toward the bottom, a custom litter box cubby includes a vent to keep things smelling nicely after the cat has visited.
The sleeping loft incorporates a sunken mattress area and several storage cubbies within the flooring.
A second loft offers extra multipurpose space and can accommodate a queen-sized mattress for guests. Slim beetle kill flooring creates a low profile, accented by a custom ladder.

Next to the dining area, a custom sofa stretches six feet, with ample storage below. The couch also conceals the wheel fenders.
