Check out this ultra-chic saltbox home by Designer Cottages for $130,000

Designer Cottages is a Berkshire Hathaway company that creates spec homes, including this beautiful saltbox. The unique design has a footprint of just 452 square feet, boasting 270-degree views and a classic-meets-modern aesthetic. Inspired by a historic "lean-to" design, the tiny floor plan works to maximize space while highlighting elegant architectural details.
Inspired by New England saltbox homes dating back to the 1600s, the design is finished with luxurious touches including Summit Appliances and Ply Gem aluminum-clad wood windows. The standing seam metal roof is complemented by vertical shiplap wood siding and a horizontal board-and-batten exterior lower body.
Inside, tongue and groove 7-foot oak hardwood floors and ceilings create a stylish shell. The living space is surrounded by windows to let in maximum light and exposure to views.
An open floor plan takes advantage of every inch, allowing the kitchen to seamlessly flow into the living space and its expansive windows.
An all-white design keeps the kitchen chic and clean, completed with a stainless steel Summit range and 30-inch refrigerator. White-washed shiplap siding provides a rustic backsplash complemented by modern quartz countertops. The kitchen, living and dining ceiling subtly slopes from 11 feet to 9-1/2 feet, extending a feeling of high ceilings throughout.
Across from the kitchen and next to the living area, the dining space can accommodate a table for six. Industrial stainless steel pendant lights anchor the area.
The bedroom features a generous ceiling height of 9-1/2 feet, allowing for large, full-length windows to wake up to the sun. The space accommodates a cozy full bed for two.
Literally using every inch, a small desk/work space is subtly tucked across from the bathroom, with just enough room for a chair and laptop.
Roomy enough for a full tub, the bathroom features a white tile surround complemented by chic shiplap siding.
Of course, enjoying the outdoors is perhaps the best part of a saltbox house. Covered porches feature large overhangs that provide cover from both rain and high sun.
