From old barn to cozy cottage: Look inside a breathtaking vacation home

It's hard to believe, but this unique cottage in Gwynedd, Wales, was once a dilapidated barn. Fully remodeled and converted into a beautiful two bedroom cottage, it is now available as a vacation rental through Dioni. The home consists of a twin bedroom on the main floor, and a double bed in the loft.

On the main floor, you'll also find a small kitchen and comfortable living room area. Folding glass doors can be fully opened for access to the gorgeous views of the fields and nearby mountains. Soaring ceilings and a wall of windows make the small cottage feel bright and spacious. Handmade curtains can be closed at night for privacy.

A small kitchenette with white cabinets and black countertops is tucked in the corner. But when it comes to the interior of this cottage, it's clear the hand-carved oak trusses steal the show.

The slate tile floors continue on into the main floor bedroom, which features two twin beds. The oak furniture ties in well with the warm wood accents throughout the rest of the cottage.

A double bed is located in the upstairs loft that is accessed by a narrow set of stairs. A skylight provides natural light to this area of the house.

The bathroom is clean and classic with floor to ceiling white tile and simple high-quality fixtures.
