Tour a spacious container home that truly has it all, including a very sophisticated bathroom

In Austin, Texas, Patrice Nichole Rios, owner of Troo Designs—a company specializing in kitchen and bathroom designs—and Sige&Honey has merged her two companies together to create what she calls her “reclaimed modern architecture” concept: a sophisticated, polished and timeless look.
Not only are they creating homes from shipping containers, but they are making a name for themselves by making home additions from containers that serve as guest houses, studios, or office spaces. In the case of the house we're about to tour, though, Rios asked the architects to mimic the appearance and aesthetics of a 2-story container home. This home is a spacious 1,400 square feet, and not only offers three bedrooms and three bathrooms, but it features a gorgeous kitchen, plenty of living space, a deck, and a backyard guest house, which is made out of a shipping container.

Patrice Rios designed the interior of this home with an eye for detail, and small standouts like glass kitchen shelves, a floating staircase, quartz countertops, and pendant lighting bring the home to life. The open floor plan combines the dining area with the kitchen to offer plenty of seating space for meals.
The fully loaded space features a stainless steel double sink, plenty of cabinet space, modern appliances including a range/oven, refrigerator, and dishwasher. A center island provides a spot for meal prep and doubles as a cozy breakfast nook. All the cabinetry in the kitchen (and bathroom) were designed and provided by Rios' company, Troo Designs.
Custom made pipe shelving with glass shelves makes an elegant space to store glassware and plates, and they just look really beautiful!
Gleaming concrete floors give the home a chic, urban vibe, and floor to ceiling windows let in tons of natural sunlight, bathing the home in inviting warmth. The outstanding kitchen sink was designed by Blanco Germany, and it's part of its Silgranit Collection.
In the corner, there's a comfortable living/sitting area adjacent to plenty of window lighting.
You have a panoramic view of the neighborhood as you enjoy relaxing in this small but welcoming space. A graphic rug makes a bold, stylish statement!
One of the bathrooms is practically a work of art. A gorgeous, geometric pendant light hangs over a rectangular vanity, and the yellow elmwood adds just the right amount of color to the black and white space. It looks dramatic and appealing.
The beautiful floating steel staircase leads to the bedrooms upstairs.
The master bedroom features hardwood flooring, a king-sized bed, and its own bathroom.
The master bathroom really stands out, with a brick floor, double vanity, and walk-in shower. Antique brass pulls add a bit of elegance to the bathroom and give it a sophisticated and timeless look. Airy, light, and bright, this bathroom is simply beautiful—the contrast of the brick flooring makes for an interesting and bold space!
Directly adjacent to the master bedroom is an amazing rooftop deck! Enjoy a cup of coffee as the sun rises, or simply people watch after a long day while you enjoy the breeze.
One of the coolest perks of this home (as if the home's beauty isn't enough!) is the fact that the designers have included another container behind the home (there's also a privacy fence) that houses a guest space.
