1. Craftsman-style home with vaulted ceiling from Houseplans
This charming Craftsman design comes in at a manageable 940 square feet (87 square meters) and has plenty of curb appeal. The home is entered through a set of terrace doors on the front porch, which open straight into the dining area. The U-shaped kitchen is off to the left, and the large great room featuring a fireplace is on the right. Two bedrooms and a shared bathroom with a tub are found at the back of the home, and both bedrooms feature vaulted ceilings.
2. Open concept design with second-floor bedroom from ePlans
At a 923 square feet (86 square meters), this design is unique in that it includes a second-floor bedroom. Downstairs, the open concept dining area and great room are found on the right-hand side of the home. A door in the dining room leads out to the back porch, and a tiny but efficient kitchen is off to the left. The bathroom is located in the back corner and can be accessed through either the kitchen or the large first-floor bedroom.
3. Rustic wooden design from Family Home Plans
This rustic-looking house measures 720 square feet (67 square meters) and has a large porch. The front section of the home is taken up by an open concept living room and kitchen, which features a pantry. A small hallway just off the living room leads to two bedrooms and a bathroom with a tub. The home isn't lacking in storage space; a linen closet and a second closet are found here as well.
4. Charming home with attached garage from Houseplans
Unlike the other floor plans in this article, this 806 square foot (75 square meters) design boasts an attached garage. A small foyer with a coat closet welcomes visitors into the home, and from here a hallway on the right leads to two bedrooms and a bathroom with a tub. The larger bedroom has a walk-in closet. An open concept living room, including a dining room and a kitchen, is found on the left side of the home.
5. Traditional cottage from ePlans
This traditional-looking home measures 736 square feet (68 square meters) but feels larger thanks to vaulted ceilings throughout. The large living room features a gas fireplace and is open to the two dormer windows above. In the front-right corner, the efficient tiled kitchen is partially separated from the great room by an island set on an angle. The dining area is located behind the kitchen and is illuminated by large windows and glass sliding doors that lead outside. Two bedrooms, a bathroom with a tub and a laundry closet are found at the back of the home.

Coming in at 864 square feet (80 square meters), this appealing design has a lovely front porch as well as one out back. The front door opens directly into the great room, but a coat closet off to the left keeps everything organized. The U-shaped eat-in kitchen is located behind the great room, and from here the back porch can be accessed through a set of sliding doors. Both bedrooms are found on the left side of the home; the master bedroom is significantly larger, and it includes a walk-in closet.
