This Dublin tiny home squeezes major farmhouse style into 256 square feet

Dubliner Susan Crosbie lives large in her 256-square-foot tiny log house. How? She makes brilliant use of every inch, with plenty of space for relaxing and a serene color palette.
Crosbie's versatile living room serves as command central, and she uses it for work, relaxing and eating meals. She also doubles her home's footprint with ample outdoor space for entertaining. As a result, the cozy home is perfectly tailored for one.

From the bright green exterior, large double glass doors lead to the main space, where the living room shares a wall with the tiny kitchen.
Neutral gray and white curtains and a faux fur rug hail from Laura Ashley, and Ikea crafted the cozy chenille couch. To the right of the sofa, a folding table opens up to transform into a dining space. Shiplap siding features a warm gray tone, and white exposed-beam ceilings create a feeling of openness. The green industrial sconce overhead lends a rare pop of color.
Across from the sofa, the entertainment area features a large flatscreen TV and a small fireplace. An array of blankets, candles and throws complete the hygge aesthetic, which calls for coziness and contentment. Crosbie's three-tiered kitchen cart on wheels holds drinks and accessories, and a small triangular table pulls up to the sofa for solo meals.
The kitchen was front of mind when Crosbie designed her home. It contains everything a standard kitchen would except a dishwasher: a full oven and stovetop, built-in microwave and sleekly concealed fridge. Soft gray cabinetry features minimal hardware, and the butcher block countertop offers a warm accent.
A brilliant use of space makes the bedroom feel extra roomy. Small end tables flank the double bed, topped with matching gray lamps for additional lighting. A small shelf vanity across the way holds makeup and serves as a staging area for getting ready. Instead of a closet, Crosbie makes do with a slim wardrobe and a tall dresser.
It was a challenge to fit all of the necessities in the bathroom without overcrowding the space, but Crosbie was able to make it work by positioning a tall table next to the toilet. The walk-in shower offers gray subway tile for style and ample shelving for toiletries. A slim white vanity holds more products without taking up much floor space.

Outside, Crosbie has a small patio, which she outfits with a covered gazebo in warmer months. She placed lots of potted plants throughout the outdoor space to keep the area alive with fresh greenery.
