Wife builds tiny home with elevator bed

Tiny homes are all the rage. You've probably spent hours Pinteresting them and browsing articles just like this one. But we have to say that this tiny home, designed by woodworking genius Ana White, is unlike anything we've ever seen. Keep reading for the full tour below.
The home, which is just 24 feet long and 8 1/2 feet wide, feels open and airy thanks to white paint and neutral accents. Its sophisticated mix of modern and country has got us head over heels. And what's really sold us on this tiny home is the pure functionality of it all.

White has come up with clever storage tricks for each and every room that are going to blow you away. You might think about using some of these tips in your own regular-size home! Let's take a closer look.
To make the living room feel open and airy, White designed the space so that the couch is tucked in the back corner. This is cozy, but it also gives anyone sitting there a great view of the rest of the room. Note that the bottom frame of the couch even works as additional storage space.
You probably noticed the bed in the last photo and thought, "Where's the ladder to get up there?" There's no ladder needed, ladies and gents. White has made the bed mechanical (see video below for how it works); it hovers over the couch during the day and drops right down from the ceiling for bedtime. This is perfect for anyone who has no desire to scramble down a ladder to go to the restroom in the middle of the night.
Another great feature is that the couch can be rolled out into a full-size bed. You can sleep people in both spots easily!
Look at all that natural light! Those gigantic windows really make this space. It doesn't feel like tiny living in here at all. We love the rustic flooring and the pretty geometric rug. You can also catch a glimpse of the shelving unit that provides a ton of storage for all your household stuff.
Of course, White has another trick up her sleeve here. Those rustic sliding shelf doors fold up and out into a little Murphy dining table. Genius, right? This is a major space saver, and utterly convenient.
As you looked toward the kitchen in the previous photo, you might have noticed that cubby cabinet on the wall. Again, White has created another hidden functionality. The cabinet is on a track, and it slides open to provide additional storage in the back.
Then there's this awesome kitchen space. We can't get enough of those jet-black cabinets contrasting against the white marble. The whole room brings together the rustic country feel mixed with sleek modernity.
There's also an awesome barn door that slides to the side to provide access to the bathroom, and a built-in bookshelf for everything else that needs a home.
Last but not least is this creative use of bathroom space. "Inside the bathroom, a closet slides out from the shower for hanging clothes," explains White. "When the shower is in use, the closet easily slides over the toilet. When the closet is in the shower, the shower curtain clips over the shower head to protect clothing."
