Come see how beautifully designed the kitchen of this tiny house is

American Tiny House hails from -- let's get this right -- the "beautiful piney woods of Longview, Texas," if you take the company's word for it as mentioned on their website.
We'll take their word for it. The company does know a thing or two about aesthetics, after all, or they wouldn't keep churning out one handsome tiny house after another. They have 12 homes in their production line, all of them named for familiar urban landscapes, including Dallas, Austin, Nashville, Portland, and Pensacola, but they'd also be happy to build a custom one. The message? Perhaps, the company is saying it's OK to pack a bit of modern, city life and cart if off to the country if you happened to be headed there. Or maybe, they're telling us you can feel at home anywhere -- country, city or somewhere in between.

Some mysteries are better left unresolved but stay tuned for updates on these lovely tiny houses on American Tiny House's Facebook page.
Let's take a tour of the home called the Everett. That would be Everett, Wa., north of Seattle and nestled in some magnificent piney woods, as well.
Have home will travel. This handsome house with the two-tiered metal roof offers 288-square-feet of living space. This photograph shows the diminutive home dwarfed by highway infrastructure.
Once you get where you are going, you can set up house. A welcoming flight of stairs and some potted junipers make this traveling home look indigenous wherever you put it.
The natural wood tones really stand out in contrast with the pale green paint. Notice the tongue-and-groove walls are aligned vertically, an unusual choice that works beautifully.
A double basin sink -- now we're talking.
From floor to ceiling, this space is beautifully balanced. Even the sliding door and the view of the bathroom looks serene and in balance. The double-sided glass door has a very subtle, nearly hidden blind that can be drawn down for privacy. Above that door is another array of windows, so the room is not deprived of sunlight when the blind is drawn down.
Above the kitchen is this cozy sleeping loft, which is lined with more windows. Notice, the dark floor matches flooring from the level below.

This is a terrific shot that gives you feel for the bathroom space as a whole. This room has the look of a bathroom in a standard house with the recessed vanity set a beautiful feature.
