It all started with this run down, renovated Skoolie. The Nelsons bought the bus in October 2012, and spent the next three months stripping the inside bare so that they could start everything anew.
Eventually, the old school bus began to be molded it into their dream home.
Needless to say, it didn't take long for this to become the Nelsons' ideal family dwelling.
As you enter this amazing converted bus, you will see that the Nina and her husband took great care in ensuring that their new home meets their family's demands.
Their care and attention to detail meant the creation of great storage compartments like these, which are concealed under two benches by the entrance and have been designed to stash away all toys and personal belongings.
The bus also includes a well-illuminated kitchen complete with appliances, cupboards, drawers and utensils.
Along with a cleverly-engineered bench that can be folded outwards to reveal the cook top.
An extra Jotul stove that helps keep everything warm and cozy.
And a foldout table for those low-key family dinners too.
You'll notice that the shower is not too far ahead, while the toilet is hidden just outside the bedroom.
How's this for great use of space? Not only have the Nelsons managed to fit five beds in one area, they also got creative with storage in their bedroom too.
Boxes of clothes are within easy access right under the bed.
And the bed itself looks pretty comfy too.

These days, the bus is parked outside the Nelsons' new family home. According to Nina's blog, the family still uses it for road trips and they are planning to open it as a guest house. Lifestyle necessities may have meant they have had to upscale, but the Nelsons' experience proves that a bus can easily accommodate a family dedicated to embracing tiny living.
