Hit the road in the Big Blue Bus!

Australian couple Alyce Procter, an art therapist, and Paul Norman, a plumber, along with their beloved dog, Banjo, had one singular dream: to travel the country and see everything they possibly could, enjoying many adventures along the way. The easiest and most affordable way for them to travel as they desired was to convert an old bus Alyce's mother purchased for her.
With the help of friends, the couple renovated the bus to create the home on wheels they had always dreamed about. After a month of hard work, as Alyce states on her blog Blue Bus Journey, their mobile home was road ready! The bus features a spacious kitchen, seating area, bedroom, and bathroom, as well as a pull-out barbecue grill for impromptu cookouts!

As you walk onto the bus, you'll immediately notice a light, airy, and bright interior, thanks to white paint and lighter wood accents. Furniture from IKEA, including a small wooden table and benches, makes a charming spot to dine. A full sized couch serves as a sitting/living area and colorful toss pillows brighten up the space.
Alyce loves the roomy kitchen because it was cost effective, easy to put together, and has everything required, including a dorm-sized refrigerator and plenty of drawers for storage, along with oversized countertops and a stainless steel sink.
Beyond the kitchen lies the closet and the bathroom. Alyce had some concerns over space, as she has an extensive wardrobe, but with a custom-built clothes rod and a chest of drawers, it appears the creative couple added plenty of room for clothing and accessories.
Alyce did something special in the bathroom of the bus. She purchased a variety of tiles and decided to hand make a mosaic on the floor of the shower. With some help from her mom, she created a beautiful Mandala, adding visual appeal and interest to the standing shower.
The small but fully functional bathroom also includes a sink and a toilet.
The back of the bus houses the master bedroom. The room features a full-sized bed, as well as a ledge that works as a bookshelf and nightstand. Bright blue bedding adds a splash of color to the comfortable and cozy sleeping nook.
The view of the room from the bed. Colorful decorations and artwork make the room come to life, and a two-drawer dresser provides even more wardrobe space for the couple.
You certainly can't beat this view from the bedroom window! Imagine relaxing as the sounds of the waves crashing lulls you into a peaceful state.
This free spirited family makes their way across Australia selling coffee and tea, along with collaborations with friends that provide sales of artwork and crafts to make money. The carefree couple is living their dreams, and loves life on the road. Check out this cool balcony for dining al fresco and relaxing!
