Come in a compelling, rustic container home full of character and with a great bathroom

"Just plug it in and move in," says the sales listing for this prefab container home.
Jimmy Lee's construction company, Containerhomes.net aims to bring more sustainable housing options to the effervescent environment of Costa Rica. Quite a natural transition for a former Greenpeace advocate-turned-yoga instructor, and one that thus far seems to be going along smoothly.

Today, we're venturing into the company's latest 40-foot (12.19-meter) model - a remarkable build that brings us a compelling concoction of textures.
From the back, this looks like your average shipping container, with the addition of a window and a rooftop deck.
But focus your attention on the front, and you'll see things in a whole new dimension. A glassed front porch with wooden siding gives this modular dwelling a bit of character.
Wondering how one enters such an intricate construction? There you have it: the front door is neatly tucked away on the side.
A private deck with rustic undertones greets us as we delve a little closer. For an extra layer of security, all the windows in this home were fitted with metal bars.
Within the cozy 640 square feet (59.5 square meters) of living space, we find a lustrous living area brimming with elegant furnishings.
The kitchen's space is nicely maximized to satisfy all your culinary wishes. Gotta love the classic details adorning those practical shelves.
A playful combination of tiles and stones embellish this chic little bathroom. Once again, practicality seeps in with a nifty shelf compartment making an appearance right below the basin.
Quite an interesting design, don't you think? Dissonant elements we wouldn't expect to go together seem to work in perfect harmony.
The rustic exteriors carry quite a unique flair to them, while the inside exudes elegance all around.
