Taste the Southern charm of a tiny home that sacrifices nothing and has a stellar bedroom

"Home is where you park it," say the builders at Tiny Heirloom, a company from Portland, Ore., that supplies the hammers, nails and manpower, while the customer comes up with the design. As such, the company that turns out quality gems, like this home on wheels, aspires to constructing "pure custom built tiny homes."
In fact, like many tiny home owners, the owners of Tiny Heirloom claim to have found a second lease on their life when the tiny house movement began. After years of standard residential housing construction, "we realized there was something more meaningful in building tiny," their website says.

As some say, a tiny home offers the owners a challenge of living a life dedicated to experience, rather than dedicated to stuff. But enough chatter, let's take a tour of the home Tiny Heirloom says is loaded with southern charm.
This home looks simple enough on the outside. The most obvious feature is the dormer-style roof line on the left side that means the sleeping loft will have plenty of headroom. And just wait till you see that!
A lovely down-home touch is found here in this flower-filled window box. The painted shutters add some of that southern charm to this house on wheels.
A terrific view from the bedroom loft. You can see there is ample room in the kitchen and a great dining area in the background.
Although most of the windows are on the left side of the house, there is still plenty of light that is enhanced by the flat white interior paint.
While this photograph features the booth-style dining area, you can also see a glimpse of a small working table with its own chair on the left.
A view from above shows there is plenty of room for two at the table. If necessary, there is likely room for one or two more.
An impressive array of kitchen cabinets also shows the full-sized oven and stove. The dark floor helps the white cabinets really stand out.
Another view close to the ground shows the combination washer/dryer that many find essential for tiny home living. (You can give up a lot of things, but a washer/dryer ain't one of them.) This one, you can see, is situated under the stairs.
Once you climb the stairs -- wow! The splendid set of windows with the wide, stained trim make this a standout bedroom. If the six visible windows weren't enough, there's also a skylight above this loft.

Yes, the home contains an indoor bathroom, which is outfitted with a bathtub and shower. Again -- there are a few sacrifices that even stoic tiny home owners prefer not to make.
