Discover all the handmade secrets of this converted bus and its beautiful 'baby room'

Katherine and Steve, from Catching Eddies decided to save money by living inside a converted school bus. Over the years the couple, who now has a baby girl, a cat, and a dog, have made improvements and upgrades to the bus in order to make their living quarters more comfortable.
Though they are currently building their own traditional home, living on the bus in the interim has been affordable and enjoyable for the couple, who enjoys gardening, the outdoors, and practicing eco-friendly, environmental ways to live. Their charming converted bus is the perfect place to raise a young daughter and put into practice their philosophy of natural and sustainable living.

The front end of the bus houses the master bedroom, which also doubles as a living area. The futon folds down to create a full-sized bed, and folds up to make a comfortable couch. Built-in wall shelves hold books and other items neatly and keep clutter at bay.
Since the couple had their daughter, they've installed a creative and space-saving hanging crib next to the bed to keep their baby at arm's length during the night.
Steve built a wooden desk for Katherine, complete with a pull-out keyboard space. The small desk fits perfectly at the end of the futon and gives Katherine additional space for work.
A custom built fold-down table with bench seating built by Steve is perfect for mealtimes, and under the bench there's a spot for storage
The beautiful wood-paneled kitchen contains everything required for meal-making, including a sink, range, and refrigerator for keeping and preparing the multitude of vegetables the couple grows in their garden, including peas, lettuce, carrots, tomatoes, and fruits.
Both sides of the kitchen reveal plenty of custom-built cabinets, drawers, and shelves, offering multiple ways to store dishes and food. A wood stove keeps things toasty on the bus.
Even more storage comes in the form of handmade shelves Steve built to store dehydrated foods and other sundries.
The bus contains a composting toilet, shower, and a hot water heater to make small living a bit more comfortable.
Until their new home is ready for move in, Katherine, Steve, their pets, and their infant daughter are living a peaceful and cozy life aboard their converted bus home!
